"Pilates has been life changing for me. Having turned 60, I was shocked to find out I'd lost a half inch in height. My posture was turning me into the letter "C"! Pilates has helped me regain that loss, and more! I have also gained core strength, and improved my balance and flexibility. I never enjoyed core work, but I love Pilates and its results. I would never give it up! The sense of wellbeing is wonderful."

WHAT EXACTLY IS PILATES? | return top
Pilates is a system of exercises designed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900’s.  A sequence of exercises are performed to help flexibility, body awareness, strength, balance, posture, breathing and endurance.  The exercises can be performed on either mats and/or equipment specially designed by Joe himself.

IS PILATES RIGHT FOR ME? | return top
The low impact nature of Pilates, coupled with its emphasis on the quality of movement, makes this workout perfect for any age, body type or fitness level. If you have chronic pain or are recovering from an injury, private sessions, at least initially, are advised.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY OF GETTING STARTED? | return top
At C.A.M.P.  we strongly encourage newcomers to our studio to experience our “Intro Package’.  Here you will experience one-on-one instruction during four individual private sessions.  Generally speaking, we require 4 private sessions before blending in to our group classes.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? | return top
You should wear whatever you feel comfortably in.  We do ask, however, you do not wear overly sized clothing.  It is difficult for the instructor to observe the working body with such items.  Shoes are not worn in Pilates, socks are optional.

HOW MANY TIMES A WEEK SHOULD I COME TO PILATES? | return top
We recommend at least two sessions a week for best results.  The benefits you will experience are no less than profound.

WHAT SETS YOUR STUDIO APART FROM OTHERS? | return top
All our instructors are certified to the highest level.

We have the best available equipment.

You’ll never find 20 people or more in our group classes – we have a maximum of seven for maximum safety.

At CAMP you will experience a private, clean, exclusive environment.

Please read our CAMP policies as well.

Pilates Goal: The attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind and the ability to perform life's daily activities with zest and ease.
